The arena hosts NBA and NHL games throughout the season, making it one of the busiest event venues in the New York area.
Like most NHL venues, Madison Square Garden enforces a clear bag policy. All bags brought into the arena must be transparent plastic, vinyl, or PVC no larger than 14"×14"×6". Each fan may also bring one small non-clear clutch or wristlet (up to 6"×9"). To avoid any issues at the gate, bring a clear bag that meets the size requirements (14"×14"×6" maximum) and arrive early — security lines move faster when bags are transparent. If you arrive with a non-compliant bag, Madison Square Garden offers locker or bag check services near the entrance.
